Where we came from

Lineup began within an association looking to get more production from it's committees. Like most associations, the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards depends on our volunteers as the backbone of our ability to accomplish our mission.

In 2014, we decided to build a tool to help our staff get a more detailed look at the skills and demographics of our volunteers to improve the productiveness of the committees and better engage with our volunteer base. Our hope was that if we placed volunteers into committees that matched their skills, not only would they be happier with their experience, but they will be more productive as well. It has been quite the learning experience, but we've been rewarded with glowing results.

We nearly doubled our volunteer base, and by getting a better look at our volunteer base, we built committees that better reflected the diversity of our profession.
